We ask for browser location only when you choose Use my location. You can choose a city instead. Search coordinates are sent to our server and the relevant provider to fulfil your request. We do not store raw coordinates in usage-limit records.
We use a signed essential session cookie and a keyed hash of your network address to enforce visitor allowances. Visitors on a shared network may share an allowance. Private operations records contain hashed identities, counts, timestamps and limit reasons, not search text or precise locations. Hosting providers may retain technical request logs.
Firebase/Google Analytics measures this website separately from loc8 and the other 7x websites. Events include page views, search mode and app-store link clicks. We do not send precise coordinates, suburb search text, email addresses or raw network addresses as custom analytics parameters.
OpenStreetMap provides the embedded map. Fuel and EV information comes from the credited providers. Google receives queries for optional address/place searches. Providers process requests under their own policies.
Access has per-visitor and shared service limits. Do not bypass limits, scrape the service or resell provider data. Features may pause when allowances are exhausted. Prices and charger information are not guaranteed; confirm with the station or operator.
